Scottish Kelpie, Folklore Water Horse Paperweight Cast Bronze Bust
Unusual and rare paperweight size bust of a Scottish Mythological creature called a Kelpie. It is a horse like creature with a goatee beard. Apparently it is not benevolate . It was said that it lures children into riding it and then takes them into the water and drowns them. This bronze is marked on the bottom with the manufacturers name but I cannot make out. The best I can do is identify that it says "Inc". There is a threaded hole on the top of it's head that is meant to hold something. But I doubt if is was for a for a unicorn's horn because it is up to high. The hole in in the front part of it's mane. Unicorns have the horns on the upper part of the nose.
It is 3 inches tall and 3.5 inches wide.
